The study of Torah is a source of great joy and meaning for Rabbi Muhlbaum!

The study of Torah can take place anywhere. Rabbi Muhlbaum loves bringing Torah to life around dining room tables, in conference rooms, in the youth group’s lounge, at coffee shops, in the sukkah…anywhere people might gather to learn!

Her teaching style is accessible but deep, encouraging curiosity and making connections between modern life and ancient texts. Rabbi Muhlbaum brings together diverse voices on each source sheet, striving to highlight those whose voices have been marginalized, and working to empower each student to see echoes of their own experiences in the texts they explore.

Here’s a list of some of Rabbi Muhlbaum’s favorite adult education offerings:

  • The Megillah Series (with seasonal sessions on the book of Jonah and the 5 Megillot)

  • Advanced Series on Moses: A Human Life by Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg

  • Psalms of Ascent

  • Modern Hebrew Poetry

  • High Holy Day Series (including sessions on Selichot and Avinu Malkeinu)

  • Jewish Angels and Demons

  • Beyond the Apple: Food and the Bible
